Careers at ONUS
A five-year-old reading chapter books aloud at the public library — that’s what our curriculum produced, and we built it ourselves. ONUS Homeschool was born at a kitchen table by parents who wanted something better for their own child, and it worked. What began as one family’s curriculum is now a complete, original, standards-aligned program for young learners, and we’re opening it up to the educators, writers, and reviewers who can help us make it stronger. If you care about how children actually learn, and you’d rather do meaningful work than busywork, we’d like to hear from you. Every role we post is paid, remote, and built around your schedule.
Open Position
Licensed Educational Reviewer
Contract · One-time engagement · Remote, United States · $100–$200
A parent built this curriculum and taught his own daughter to read with it. Now we want real teachers to read it and tell us the truth about it.
ONUS Homeschool is hiring licensed U.S. educators to conduct an independent professional review of one grade level of our homeschool curriculum before it goes to market.
What the job is
You receive the complete curriculum package for one grade: the master scope and sequence, the quarterly lesson documents, the parent teaching guide, and the assessment materials. You read it. You assess it against your own classroom experience. You submit a written review.
That is the whole engagement. Estimated time: two to three hours.
What you’ll submit
- A written professional review covering overall quality, academic rigor, developmental appropriateness, and anything a parent should know before teaching it.
- Your honest assessment. We are not paying for a rubber stamp.
- A short statement we may feature on our website, subject to a signed Reviewer Agreement covering compensation disclosure and usage rights, in full compliance with FTC guidelines.
Requirements
- Active or recently retired licensed educator, Pre-K through Eighth Grade.
- United States based. You will submit your state teaching license number with your application.
- Classroom or curriculum experience at the grade level you are reviewing.
- Willingness to sign a nondisclosure agreement before receiving materials. The curriculum is unpublished and covered by a provisional patent; the NDA is not optional.
What happens after you’re hired
You sign the NDA and the Reviewer Agreement. You get full access to the complete grade-level package. You review. You submit. You get paid.
There is also a path beyond this engagement. Reviewers are the first educators we invite into our Featured Teacher Program, that offers additional income opportunities for teachers, serving their communities.
To apply
Email careers@onushomeschool.com with your contract information, your grade level, your state, your years teaching, your license number, and a paragraph on why you would be a strong reviewer for this work.
More Opportunities Coming Soon
This is only the beginning. As ONUS grows, we’ll be adding paid roles for curriculum authors, subject-matter reviewers, illustrators, and sales representatives. Check back often or reach out and tell us how you would like to help.
